Classic Slots & Hot New Favourites.

At Chances Prince Rupert, you’ll discover a variety of slot machines, each with their own type of play, keeping the excitement and thrill alive.

Progressive slots are a player favourite, because the jackpot pool continues to grow with each credit played until someone wins. Depending on the number of credits played, smaller, fixed jackpot prizes can be won early on, but the progressive prize grows very large if no one wins for a long period of time. It’s exciting to watch as the jackpot climbs higher, and that with the right spin, it could all be yours!

Slots 101

Every slot game is a little different, but most of the essentials are the same. Learn all the basics of how to play slots. And just remember, if you’re ever unsure of how to play, every slot machine has a game rules button you can access at any time.

Multiline Slots

Multiline slot machines let you bet on multiple paylines, which are the lines across the screen where winning symbol combinations can appear.

  • A payline is a specific pattern that symbols must follow to create a win.
  • Classic slots often have just 1 payline (straight across the middle), but multiline games can have 5, 10, 25, or even 100+ paylines!
  • You can usually choose how many lines to play at a time.

25-line slot might have horizontal, vertical, diagonal, and zig-zagging lines. If a winning combination lands on any line you’ve bet on, you win!

Multiway (All Ways) Slots

Multiway, also called ways-to-win or all-ways, slots are similar to Multiline slots, but have slightly different rules:

  • Instead of paylines, they pay when matching symbols appear on adjacent reels from left to right, whatever their exact position on the reel.
  • The most common are 243-ways, but some games offer 720, 1,024, or even over 100,000 ways to win!

For example, in a 243-ways game, if you get the same symbol in any position on the first three reels (starting from the left), you win — even if they’re not in a straight line.

Easy Bet Slots

Easy Bet is a faster, simpler way to play with all lines automatically activated. All you have to do is choose a multiplier (1x, 2x, or 5x) that will determine your total wager then sit back and watch the reels spin.

Progressive Slots

These slot machines have a jackpot pool that continues to grow with each credit played. The progressive jackpot amount, displayed on the meter, continues to climb until someone wins. Someone could win a small jackpot prize early on, but the prize grows very large if no one wins even as more and more credits are played.

On some progressive slots, you must play the maximum number of credits to qualify to win the progressive jackpot. If the winning jackpot combination appears and you are not playing the maximum number of credits, you’ll win a fixed jackpot amount corresponding to the number of credits you played according to the pay table – not the progressive prize.

Progressive slots can be stand alone, or single, machines or they can be a group of machines grouped and linked together contributing to a common jackpot pool. There are also wide area progressive slots where several groups of machines in several different locations or casinos all contribute to a large common jackpot pool.

Multiplier Machines

These machines have a table of payouts for specific combinations of symbols. Multiply the payout by playing more than one credit. So, if the payout is five credits for three Red 7 symbols when you play one credit, it would pay double if you played two credits, and triple if you played three.

For some machines, what we call “hybrid” or “bonus multiplier machines”, playing the maximum coins will increase the size of the jackpot more than you’d think. For example, a one-coin play yields a jackpot of 1,000 credits while a two-coin play yields a jackpot double in size (2,000 credits), and a three-coin play (the maximum) yields a jackpot of 5,000 credits, which is more than triple in size.

Odds for Slot Machine Games

It’s important to note that slot machines operate randomly at all times, no matter how many wins or losses have occurred in the past, altering play patterns, time of day, or position of the machine within the casino. In other words, the result of your last game has no bearing on the result of your next game.

Odds of winning smaller prizes are much greater than the odds of winning the top prize. But, remember, the outcome is random, every time you play.
